Online Pinnacle DMS training made available for only £50 from Pinewood

3 March 2009

Online one-to-one training on any aspect of using dealer management systems is being made available by DMS specialist Pinewood at just £50 for a session.

The new service is designed to enable dealers to get access to high quality training at a very cost effective price.

The training is supplied through the secure online links that Pinewood uses to provide its Pinnacle DMS to dealers. The trainer can be seen and heard through live video while, onscreen, real time demonstrations of Pinnacle can be seen.

Pinewood managing director Neville Briggs said: "This is a great low-cost option that is available seven days a week at a time to suit the dealer.

"Dealers can't always spare the time for their people to be out of the business so, with this method of training and the high degree of availability we offer, the sessions can be carried out at a time that does not affect the operation of the business.

"The training sessions are typically one hour long and delivered on a one-to-one basis. Delegates get the full attention of the trainer and are able to interact during the session by taking control of the Pinnacle DMS and asking questions as they go. A dealer can dip in and try a session with minimal cost and can see the results immediately."

Briggs explained that this approach is ideal for new starters because a dealer can very quickly demonstrate their commitment to a new recruit with some initial training.

He said: "Often within a dealership, DMS knowledge has been handed down piecemeal from one person to another as they join a company with the result that the dealer is missing out on some key benefits that the system can offer.

"Also, there are areas of the DMS that users know about and value but, because they do not use the facilities often, forget how to use, and training can be used as a simple reminder."

Briggs added that online training also generated a range of environmental, time management and cost benefits."

He said: "As the trainee does not need to leave their place of work, travel and accommodation costs are saved along with obvious environmental benefits."
