Second intake for Pinewood graduate trainee programme

10 February 2005

Two further recruits have joined Pinewood's graduate development programme as the initiative enters its second year.

Ian Purvey and Andrew Goodall join a four-phase, four-year career development programme designed to equip them with the skills and experience needed to join Pinewood's senior management team in the future.

The first phase will see them spend six month's with the company's application support team, with the object of developing a sound understanding of Pinewood dealer management systems.

This will be followed by six months with the sales and implementation teams, 24 months with the department of their choice to become a fully productive team member, and a final 12 months spent on departmental specialisation and leadership development.

Louise Hodgkiss and Rhys Page, who formed the first intake into the programme, have almost completed their first year.

Neville Briggs, Pinewood's managing director, said: "good people are the future of our business and that is why the graduate development programme is so important to Pinewood.”

"There is a shortage of good, creative people in the DMS sector and we believe that helping graduates to become dynamic managers through a carefully structured programme can only strengthen our company in years to come."
