Pinewood adds GM to their list of manufacturer certified integrations

11 December 2007

Vauxhall dealers now have a wider choice of potential DMS providers following GM’s official certification of Pinnacle.

The certification has been confirmed after a rigorous testing process carried out by the manufacturer’s Technical Vendor Assistance (TVA) operator CAP Gemini on behalf of GM. This certification confirms that the Pinewood Pinnacle system meets the Vauxhall DMS standards.

Pinnacle provides Vauxhall customers with full integration into the GM systems including: Parts Order Entry, Parts Order Acknowledgement, Rapier Parts Replenishment, Web Parts Locator, Trade Club, EPC3, Warranty Claims, Warranty Acknowledgements, Warranty Corrections, TIS2000, Vehicle Order Acknowledgements and Trackerpac (BPI).

Pinewood managing director Neville Briggs commented: "We're really pleased to gain GM certification for Vauxhall as we have worked very hard alongside the GM TVA testing team.

“Pinnacle passed the testing process with ease; the TVA team found our technology simple to work with and complimented us on our innovative product.

“However this certification is only part of the story, additional interfaces will be introduced as GM release information to us which we will be rolling out throughout 2008.   To maximise the benefit of this integration we will be contacting all our existing Vauxhall customers to ensure they are ready to make the most of the latest developments.”

Pinnacle already holds approvals from a large number of motor manufacturers including Peugeot, Land Rover, Jaguar, Ford, Hyundai, Citroen, Honda, Suzuki and Mitsubishi.
