Peugeot has given official approval for use of Pinewood's Pinnacle dealer management system by its franchise dealer network.
The move covers the sophisticated customer relationship management functions available within Pinnacle and opens up a market of more than 200 Peugeot dealers to Pinewood.
Pinnacle already holds approvals from a large number of motor manufacturers including Saab, Land Rover, Jaguar, Ford, Hyundai, Citroen, Suzuki and Mitsubishi. Earlier this month, Honda also gave approval for its 205 dealers.
Managing director Neville Briggs said: "Peugeot has approved a number of IT products for customer relationship management use but most of these are standalone products that can only be used for CRM.
"In contrast, Pinnacle is one of only a handful that is a full dealer management system covering all dealer IT functions, meaning that CRM can be fully integrated with all other activities within a dealership.
"This means that dealers can see at a glance exactly what is happening across their whole dealership or in any part of it. Information from all sites and departments is completely consolidated and available instantly as reports.
"This last feature is particularly comprehensive, allowing the dealer to drill down into records and retrieve information relating to profitability and aftersales opportunities for each car sold to a customer, something that standalone CRM systems cannot provide. "
