Eight new team members at dealer management systems specialist Pinewood have completed PRINCE2 project management qualifications.
The PRINCE2 standard is widely recognised and used in the private sector, both in the UK and internationally.
Its key features are a focus on business justification, a defined organisational structure for the project management team, a product-based planning approach, an emphasis on dividing the project into manageable and controllable stages and the flexibility to be applied at a level appropriate to the project.
At Pinewood, training and implementation leader Claire Buckley has reached PRINCE2 practitioner level while Michelle Benton, Stephen Bradley, Pat Langley, Dave Cooper, Sharon O ’Leary, Stuart Hunt and Paul Stansfield - who all work within the business development and training and implementation departments - have gained PRINCE2 foundation level. An additional four team members are also working towards further PRINCE 2 qualifications.
Managing director Neville Briggs explained: "PRINCE2 accreditation is only a single strand of the structured training programmes we operate within Pinewood covering team members in all roles. As part of our Microsoft Gold Partner Accreditation we actively support our software development team work towards Microsoft qualifications, and have also established the Pinewood Academy as a framework to mentor and train all our support consultants.
“Team member training and accreditation is a vital part of our business strategy and the PRINCE2 qualification is an integral part of this ensuring that our people have the right skills to meet the exact needs of our dealer customers.”
