Fourth year for Pinewood graduate scheme

20 October 2006

The graduate recruitment scheme at dealer management systems specialist Pinewood is entering its fourth year.

The company has been touring universities to attract graduates to its development programme as well as advertising extensively online - and this year intends to take on eight new starters.

Neville Briggs, Pinewood's managing director, said: "The graduate development programme has been highly effective here since it was launched four years ago.

"It has enabled us to attract some very high quality people who are now making a genuine contribution to our business, especially during our recent, rapid growth."

Pinewood's four-phase, four-year development programme is designed to provide the skills and experience needed to join the company's senior management team in the future.

The first phase sees the graduate spend six month's with the company's application support team, with the object of developing a sound understanding of Pinewood DMS systems.

This is followed by six months with the Development team, and then 24 months with Training, Implementation and Sales where the graduate's will become a fully productive team member, and a final 12 months spent on departmental specialisation and leadership development.
