Neville Briggs named new Managing Director at CFC Solutions

29 April 2008

Neville Briggs has been named as the new Managing Director at fleet software market leader CFC Solutions.

He already holds and will retain the same role at CFC’s sister company, Pinewood Computer Solutions, which is itself the market leader in on-demand dealer management systems for motor retailers.

Briggs has worked at Pinewood for ten years, holding the Managing Director’s role since 2000. He has worked in the motor industry for more than 30 years; during this time he has specialised in the supply of motor vehicles to fleet management, leasing and contract hire companies via the franchised dealer network and also worked at Grosvenor Contracts Leasing, Britain’s largest independent Contract Hire and Leasing company as Operations and then Sales Director.

He said: “CFC is one of the best known names in the fleet industry and definitely the best-known name in fleet software. I am very pleased to be given the opportunity to look after CFC along with Pinewood Computer Solutions”

Briggs added that consolidating the CFC and Pinewood managing director role made sense because the two companies, which have long shared several key functions, were employing more and more of the same technology.

He explained: “Both CFC and Pinewood’s product ranges are based on the breaking technology that we have access to thanks to the companies’ Microsoft Gold Certified Partner status.

“Bringing CFC and Pinewood into closer alignment will, we believe, benefit the capabilities of both companies, allowing our teams to develop new products more quickly and deliver them to market more effectively.”

Merging the role of Managing Director will have no other effect on the current structures of CFC and Pinewood, which have shared key departments such as software development, finance and marketing for several years but retain separate sales and support teams. The companies share a head office in Birmingham with additional facilities in Nottingham.

Briggs said: “CFC has several innovative products under development designed to underline its market leading position and we are aiming to deliver these to customers as soon as possible.

“The fleet market has undergone continual change over the last few years due to emerging factors such as corporate manslaughter and the environment, and we aim to remain in the vanguard when it comes to developing solutions to these issues.”
