Huttons is a Fiat dealership based in Weston Super Mare, Managing Director David Hoggarth comments on his experience of working with Pinewood:

 

I have been a customer of Pinewood for over 22 years and previously used their CARS DMS solution.  CARS, like most DMS solutions consisted of an on-site server which required maintenance, every night I had to complete tape backups and then shut the system down.  In the morning I would then start the server back up before we could access the system.

 

Due to the technology involved in the previous system it was a constant battle to keep up with the ever changing demands placed on a franchised dealership.  If software upgrades were required to meet manufacturer integration requirements we would have to consider not only the cost of the upgrade but the hardware requirements to ensure the new software could be maintained.

 

Transition to Pinnacle

Overall the transition from our old DMS to Pinnacle went well.  I am confident there is almost never a perfect switch to a new DMS of such sophistication and when we did encounter minor trials and tribulations, with Pinewood’s help they were easily resolved.
