Software Developers

 

We are looking for:

 

Junior Developers - with core skills in:

.NET 2.0 / C# / ASP.NET /
Microsoft T-SQL (SQL 2000 & 2005)

 

Application Developers - with core skills in:

.NET 2.0 / C# / ASP.NET /
Microsoft T-SQL (SQL 2000 & 2005)
Plus 2 – 3 years commercial experience

 

 

We offer support for developers to gain the following Microsoft qualifications:

 

Microsoft Certified Professional
Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD)
Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS)

 

 

Software Testers

 

As part of the Pinewood drive towards improving software quality and customer satisfaction we are creating a new test team.  This team will focus entirely on testing the functional and technical quality of our software.  We are looking to improve upon our existing provision by using a full suite of testing tools provided by the Visual Studio 2005 Team Edition products.

 

Applicants should have the ability to:

• Design manual test plans and create automated scenario tests and data driven web tests
• Design and run load tests and undertake analysis of the performance results
• Provide test result reporting and deliver your findings back into the wider team
• Automate tests into the daily build process
• Use the MSF for Agile Software Development Tester role process guidance

 

Technical software skills / knowledge of benefit

 

Preferred
.NET 2.0, C#, ASP.NET, ASP 3, Microsoft T-SQL (SQL 2000 & 2005), SQL 2005 Reporting Services, JavaScript, XML, XSL

 

Of Use
.NET 1.1, VB.NET, VB 6, Java, C++, ANSI SQL, Mark-up languages, Scripting Languages

 

Software tools

 

Preferred
Visual Studio 2005 Team Edition for Testers, SQL Server 2005 Management Studio, Team Foundation Server Source Control

 

Of Use
Visual Studio 2003, SQL 2000 – Query Analyzer, Enterprise Manager, SourceSafe Visual Studio 6, Experience of other testing tools
