Bangers4BEN 2014 – Follow our progress and help us support this cause
This Friday Team Pinewood embark on a charity trip to Turin, Italy and back in aid of BEN – the automotive industry charity. We’re aiming to raise £3,000. Please help us reach this.
We are taking part in The Bangers4BEN 2014 rally. The 1,774 mile trip round will take our team from Birmingham to Turin, Italy, via the famous Stelvio Pass and onto the Fiat Factory in Lingotto – the scene of the original Italian Job film roof top chase.
The Alfa 147 T-Spar (should be Spark, but the K is missing) has some characteristic rust and 90,000 on the clock, but has been transformed. It has been branded from top to bottom, in what we hope is a fitting racing tribute. Time to take this Alfa back home for a quick visit.
The Pinewood team consists of Aston Graduates Dan Chapman, who recently moved across to Business Development, and Jack Brown, who is one of our Developers. Dan and Jack will set sail on Saturday morning:
11 – 14 October
- Saturday – Day 1: Dover, UK > Calais, France > Mulhouse, France
- Sunday – Day 2: Mulhouse, France > Como, Italy via the famous Stelvio Pass
- Monday – Day 3: Como, Italy > Fiat Factory, Turin > Mulhouse, France
- Tuesday – Day 4: Mulhouse, France > Calais, France > Dover, UK
BEN is the automotive charity, supporting the people of automotive and their dependents. For those who might not be aware of the wonderful work that BEN do for our industry we’d really like to encourage you to take some time looking at their website.
We’d clearly like to raise as much money as possible for BEN Charity so would appreciate any support at all – every single penny counts. If you would like to donate please visit JustGiving
